Previous versions relied too heavily on raw military power. In v0.13 Dev, ElatedOwl introduces Faction Cohesion. If your empire grows too fast without integrating captured territories, your units will suffer severe debuffs (reduced movement, rogue elements, supply sabotage). To counter this, you now have a "Provincial Council" screen where you appoint conquered NPCs to administrative roles—but be careful: the more power you give to former enemies, the higher the chance of a backstabbing event chain.
