Subtitles must match the video runtime (FPS and scene cuts). Before downloading any subtitle, note the source of your video file:
Once you find a link, you will likely need to adjust the timing. Download Subtitle Edit (free software). Load the French subtitle file and your video. Use the "Visual Sync" tool to delay or advance the subtitles by milliseconds.
If you cannot find a reliable "link" from fan sources, there are two legal (and easier) options:
Go to the MYTF1 website. Stream Hélène et les Garçons. On your computer, activate the Live Captions feature of your browser (Chrome: Settings > Accessibility > Live Captions). While not perfect (it misspells names like "Rollès"), it generates French subtitles in real-time.
