Toyota uses the ECU to control the fuel pump via the FC (Fuel Cut) pin.
If your 2UZ cranks but doesn't start, manually jump pins +B (Connector B, Pin 8) to BATT (Connector B, Pin 1/2). If it starts, your ECU isn't grounding the MREL circuit. Check the EFI relay. 2uzfe ecu pinout
