X Rebirth Catalog Tool 1.10
X Rebirth Catalog Tool 1.10 (often abbreviated as XRCT or simply Catalog Tool) is a community-developed utility designed to unpack, browse, and manage the .cat catalog files used by X Rebirth. These catalog files are compressed archives containing the game’s core assets: 3D models, textures, scripts, UI files, sound effects, and configuration XMLs.
Unlike later X games (like X4: Foundations) which use more accessible file structures, X Rebirth relies heavily on these proprietary catalogs. The tool is essential for modders, texture artists, and advanced players wanting to tweak game parameters without extracting gigabytes of data manually.
Even with a stable release, users may encounter hiccups. Here are solutions to the top three issues reported with version 1.10:
Issue 1: "Failed to load save—Out of Memory" X Rebirth Catalog Tool 1.10
Issue 2: Missing DLC wares
Issue 3: Tool crashes upon scanning for NPCs
Let’s walk through a common scenario: You just built a new URV Forge in Glaring Truth, and you need 10,000 Energy Cells and 500 Bio-Optic Wiring. X Rebirth Catalog Tool 1
Step 1: Analyze Current Inventory Open the X Rebirth Catalog Tool 1.10 and click on the "Stations" tab. Locate your URV Forge. The tool will show you exactly how many Energy Cells are currently in storage (including those in your construction vessel’s hold). If you are short, note the deficit.
Step 2: Locate the Best Suppliers Switch to the "Trade Offers" tab. Filter by "Energy Cells" and "Sell" offers. Because version 1.10 reads your save’s radar data, it will only show stations your ships or satellites have recently visited. Sort by "Price (lowest)" and note the location.
Step 3: Dispatch Assets without Typing Coordinates Here’s where the magic happens. The 1.10 tool generates a plain-text coordinate string for any selected station. You can copy that string and paste it directly into your X Rebirth map’s search bar, making ship routing effortless. Even with a stable release, users may encounter hiccups
Step 4: Monitor Progress After issuing commands in-game, save your game and re-load the save in the Catalog Tool. The "Mission & Order" tab will now show the current order queue for your trade ships (e.g., "Fulmekron - Docked at: Cell Fab Matrix").
Managing marines and specialists is tedious. Version 1.10 adds a dashboard that aggregates your entire crew roster, sorting by skill type (Engineering, Navigation, Morale, Combat). You can now instantly identify your best marine officer without clicking through five ship menus.
