Undercover V50 By Slow Burn Games Exclusive Here
For the uninitiated, Undercover is a social deduction game where players receive a secret word. Most players are "Civilians" who share the same word. One or two players are "Undercover" agents who receive a different, similar word. A third role—the "Mr. White"—often operates alone with no word at all. Through round-robin descriptions, players must identify the outsider without revealing their own word.
Version 50 (V50) is Slow Burn Games' celebratory milestone release. Think of it as the "director’s cut" of the game—a complete remastering of rules, aesthetics, and balance. The "Exclusive" element refers to a limited-edition digital/physical hybrid release, complete with proprietary rule sets that will not be rolled into the standard edition for at least 18 months.
Previous versions of Undercover suffered from first-round randomness. Slow Burn Games has recalibrated the clue-giving system. In V50 Exclusive, Round 1 restricts descriptions to exactly three words. Round 2 allows one sentence. Round 3 allows freeform. This controlled release of information ensures that undercover agents have to work much harder to fake their way through the early game.

In an era of bloated open worlds, Undercover V50 feels curated. There is no filler here—every interaction feels purposeful. Slow Burn Games has doubled down on what made their previous titles successful: the belief that player agency comes from restriction, not freedom.
