Resin is heavy. If you simply glue the Carina Zapata 002’s arms, they will snap off under their own weight in six months. Pinning creates a metal skeleton.

For the head-to-neck joint: Use a 2mm drill bit and a longer brass rod (15mm). The head is top-heavy. Drill through the neck stump, through the torso cavity, and install a rod that anchors deep into the chest area. For the base connection: Drill two 2mm holes 20mm apart into the bottom of the torso. Drill matching holes into the resin base. Use two brass rods as alignment pegs. This also allows you to paint the bust and base separately.

TTL Models casts parts with thick attachment gates. Use a razor saw (not a knife) to remove the body from its pour stubs. Sand the nubs flush with 400-grit wet sandpaper.
