For older vehicles (pre-2015), ToyoDIY is the holy grail.
Toyota operates an official consumer-facing website: parts.toyota.com. Toyota Electronic Parts Catalog -EPC- free download
Many users confuse the Toyota EPC with the Toyota TIS (Technical Information System). TIS gives you repair manuals (how to replace the part). The EPC gives you the part number for the part. You need both for a restoration project, but the EPC is the focus of this guide. For older vehicles (pre-2015), ToyoDIY is the holy grail
Ironically, Toyota has made the pirate’s value proposition nearly irrelevant. You do not need a cracked EPC anymore. Ironically, Toyota has made the pirate’s value proposition
The Toyota EPC (Electronic Parts Catalog) is a database application that contains every single OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) part number for every Toyota, Lexus, and Scion model produced globally, often dating back to the 1960s.
Unlike a generic auto parts store website, the EPC does not rely on "make, model, year" filters alone. Instead, it uses VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) -specific filtering. When you input a VIN into the genuine EPC, it shows you only the parts that left the factory on that specific car. This is critical because Toyota frequently changes suppliers mid-production.
For cars older than 1995, Toyota published "Parts & Illustration Catalogs" in PDF format (PIC files). These are 100% legal to download because Toyota has abandoned copyright on them. Search for "1987 Toyota Supra Parts Catalog PDF." You won't get VIN filtering, but you get original diagrams.
