After uninstalling, open cmd as admin and run:

VLC uses its own internal codecs. To override: sone385mp4 install
Cause: Incorrect chroma subsampling conversion (4:2:0 vs 4:4:4).
Fix: Go to SONE Config > Output > Chroma and set to Auto or specifically BT.709 for HD content.
If you experience regression or need to remove the component: After uninstalling, open cmd as admin and run:
Cause: A lingering process is locking quartz.dll (the DirectShow engine).
Fix: Open Task Manager, end explorer.exe, then switch back to the installer (Ctrl+Alt+Del > Run new task > installer.exe). After completion, restart Explorer.
