Lex descends further into paranoia, manipulated by his father Lionel (John Glover). Lana discovers Clark’s secret—multiple times—only to have her memory wiped.

The third season perfects the triangle of tragedy: Clark, Lana, and Lex. By the finale, “Covenant,” Clark rejects Jor-El’s demand to rule Earth and returns home, but a girl claiming to be Kara (a young Kryptonian) arrives. Clark escapes the Phantom Zone but releases rogue phantoms. Season 6 is about containment and consequence. Lana marries Lex (real marriage, not fake), and Clark teams up with Oliver Queen (Justin Hartley), the Green Arrow, launching the Justice League.

The third trio of heroes solidifies: Clark, Oliver, and Lois. By “Justice” (the fan-favorite episode with Aquaman, Cyborg, Flash, and Black Canary), the show embraces full superhero team-ups. Season 6 ends with Lana seemingly killed by a bomb—and Clark beating Lex mercilessly.
