Save Wizard Gran Turismo 7 May 2026

Polyphony Digital is engaged in an arms race. With every major update (Spec II, etc.), they attempt to obfuscate save data. Furthermore, Sony is pushing hard for cloud-only saves.

Prediction: Within the next 18 months, Sony may require PS6 games to have 100% server-side save storage with no USB export ability. If that happens, Save Wizard for future Gran Turismo titles will die completely.

For now, however, Save Wizard remains the king of shortcuts for Gran Turismo 7 on PS4/PS5 (backwards compatibility).

Save Wizard offers a suite of "Quick Codes" specifically for Gran Turismo 7. As of the latest update, here is what you can modify (features vary by game patch version): save wizard gran turismo 7

The use of Save Wizard in Gran Turismo 7 sparked a heated debate within the racing simulation community. The argument centers on the definition of "progression."

The Purist Argument: For many simulation enthusiasts, the grind is the game. Earning the money to buy a car forces the player to learn the tracks, master the physics, and experience the breadth of the content. Using Save Wizard is viewed as undermining the game's design. Furthermore, because GT7 has a heavy online integration component (even for single-player modes, a point of contention during server outages), there are concerns about the sanctity of the Sport Mode leaderboards.

The Pragmatist Argument: On the other side, players argue that the economy was artificially inflated to push players toward microtransactions (MTX). While the MTX option exists, the credit exchange rate is often viewed as predatory. Players who work full-time jobs or have families argue that they should not have to grind for months to enjoy a single piece of content they paid for. For them, Save Wizard is a time-saver, a tool to restore the fun factor that a restrictive economy stripped away. Polyphony Digital is engaged in an arms race

Depending on the current cheat table updates from the Save Wizard team, the most common modifications include:

1. The "PS4 on PS5" Nuance If you own the PS5 version, you cannot directly edit those saves. You must download the PS4 version of the game from your library, convert/transfer your save to that version (if the game allows it), edit it, and then transfer back. Note: GT7 cross-save functionality is limited, so this process is often not seamless.

2. Online Mode & Bans Gran Turismo 7 is an always-online game for the most part. While editing credits is generally considered "low risk," Polyphony Digital has systems in place to detect anomalies. Save Wizard offers a suite of "Quick Codes"

3. Leaderboards Using modified saves will almost certainly flag your account on global leaderboards (Sport Mode). If you care about your FIA rating or competitive standing, do not use Save Wizard on that specific profile.

  • A copy of your GT7 save file.
  • Save Wizard for Gran Turismo 7 is not recommended. The game’s always-online, server-authoritative architecture renders most save edits temporary, detectable, and bannable. While Save Wizard remains a powerful tool for offline PS4 games, its application to GT7 is a case study in the obsolescence of client-side cheating in modern online-centric racing titles. Players seeking to reduce grind should pursue legitimate in-game methods rather than risking their PSN account for no lasting benefit.
