"Most ‘snow’ films are shot on soundstages with fake snow. For ‘Winter’s Edge,’ I wanted the actors to suffer—really suffer. The ColdCam is a heated, nitrogen-shielded RED camera that operates in negative 30 degrees. We shot actors actually fighting in a blizzard. That authenticity cannot be faked."
