The real show-stealer, however, is Naseeruddin Shah. Whenever the chemistry between the leads feels a bit repetitive, the film cuts to the poignant struggle of Gopi uncle and Charu aunt. Their storyline brings a depth and gravity that the main plot sometimes lacks. It grounds the film and gives the audience something substantial to feel.
