Step 1 – Download the correct file On the connected PC, go to ESET’s official offline update page. Select: ✅ I have a valid ESET EAV license
Download Offline Update Eav.zip. Do not rename it.
Step 2 – Transfer to target machine Copy the ZIP file to the USB drive. Safely eject. Insert USB into the offline computer.
Step 3 – Extract locally
On the offline computer, extract the ZIP to a folder like C:\ESET_Offline_Update. Do not run any file yet.
Step 4 – Disable temporary protection (if needed) Some older ESET versions block manual updates while real-time protection is active. Open ESET GUI → Setup → Temporarily disable protection for 10 minutes (you will re-enable after update).

Navigate to the extracted folder. Locate Update.exe or egui.exe (depending on version). Right-click → Run as Administrator.

Warning: Never download this file from torrent sites, random file lockers (like Mediafire or Zippyshare), or unverified blogs. Cybercriminals routinely package malware, ransomware droppers, or keyloggers inside fake "Offline Update" files because they know users will disable security to run them.
