Insert the USB drive into the right-most USB port (Port 000 on the front).

On the XMB, navigate to the Game column.

Scroll up to Package Manager → Install Package Files → Standard (or "PS3 System Storage" if using internal HDD).

You will see multiman.pkg listed. Select it and press X.

Confirm the installation. It will take 30–60 seconds.

Once completed, you’ll see a "multiMAN" icon appear under the Game column.
