Due to MediaTek’s security on the Dimensity 700, you often need an auth_sv5.auth file. Without it, the tool will throw an S_BROM_CMD_STARTCMD_FAIL error.

Connect phone while powered off – Windows should detect MediaTek USB Port (COMx) in Device Manager.
