• Cons:
  • The DEP450 is a Motorola (now Motorola Solutions) two-way radio series. "Programming software" refers to the PC applications used to configure radio settings, channels, frequencies, signaling, and features before loading them into the radios via a programming cable.

The DEP450 is a DMR (Digital Mobile Radio) Tier II radio. It can operate in both analog and digital modes.

Your software must support both protocols. Older "Maxtrac" or "GM300" software will not work.

Once you have configured your settings, you must send them back to the radio.

    Channels are stored within "Zones."

  • Bandwidth: Select 12.5 kHz (Narrowband) or 25 kHz (Wideband). Note: Most licenses require 12.5 kHz.
  • Websites like Radioreference.com forums or Mods.dk sometimes have archives.
