  • Place the custom component into the schematic and wire up bootstrap components: bootstrap diode, bootstrap capacitor between VB and VS, VCC decoupling, gate resistors, and MOSFETs.
  • Configure simulation settings: set accurate supply voltages, initial conditions (VB charged or not), timestep limits for switching edges, and include parasitic elements if needed.
  • Run transient simulations observing HO/LO waveforms, bootstrap charging, UVLO behavior, and MOSFET switching transitions.
  • The IR2110 is a high-voltage, high-speed power MOSFET and IGBT driver. It is one of the most essential components in power electronics simulation, particularly for designing Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge, and Buck-Boost converters. Launch Proteus 8

While Proteus 8 is a powerful simulation tool, users often encounter issues finding specific power electronics driver ICs in the default library, or they find that the simulation models lack the necessary pins or fidelity. This guide covers the process of downloading, installing, and using the IR2110 library in Proteus 8. Place the custom component into the schematic and
