Insect Prison Remake -ongoing- - Version- 0.60 May 2026

Insect Prison Remake is an adult-oriented, horror-tinged interactive fiction game (often developed in RPG Maker or a similar engine) that focuses on survival, exploration, and psychological tension. The “Remake” version is a rebuilt and expanded take on an earlier classic game of the same name, improving visuals, mechanics, and story depth.

Content Warning: This game contains mature themes, including non-consensual situations, body horror, insect/arachnid enemies, and dark captivity scenarios. It is intended for adult audiences only.

If you played Version 0.55, you will immediately notice the shift in tone. Version 0.60 focuses heavily on the "middle act" collapse—the point where the protagonist stops trying to escape and starts trying to survive.

It is important to note the title explicitly includes "-Ongoing-" . This is not a finished product. Version 0.60, while stable, ends on a brutal cliffhanger. After navigating the Queen’s Vestibule, you find a door made of human fingernails. You open it, the screen flashes white, and a single line of text appears: "The molting begins. To be continued." The developer has posted a roadmap on their Itch.io page:

  • Bug & Stability Issues (ironically)

  • Pacing Problems

  • Adult Content Integration

  • Version 0.60 is the latest publicly available release at the time of this write-up. As an “ongoing” project, the game is still in active development, meaning:

  • Survival Mechanics Have Depth

  • Progression System

  • Replayability
