Who is this for?
Who should avoid this?
Bottom Line: BlackBox has delivered a clean, lean, and functional repack of one of the best Far Cry sandboxes. If you don't care about online PvP, grab this version. It saves space and runs like a dream. Just remember to whitelist the folder.
Even a perfect repack has quirks.
Issue: "Black screen on launch."
Solution: Delete the video folder inside data_final\pc\. The intro logos are encoded in a format that conflicts with some codec packs.
Issue: DLCs are not showing up in the main menu.
Solution: Open bin\FarCry5.exe with the -offline command line argument. Alternatively, copy the DLC_Unlocker.ini from the Crack folder into the bin directory manually. This is not the standard base game
Issue: Stuttering during driving. Solution: Version 1.2 has a known memory leak with the "Scout" vehicles. Lower "Water Physics" quality to Medium and "Shadow Resolution" to High (not Ultra).
Issue: The "Mars" DLC crashes when using the laser gun. Solution: This is a v1.2 bug. Switch to the "Annihilator" shotgun for the final boss fight in Lost on Mars. The bug was patched in v1.4, but v1.4 broke other mods.
