To reset the settings password for ESET Endpoint Security, you can use the Restore Password feature directly within the product or manage it remotely via the ESET PROTECT console. Option 1: Reset via Email (Local Product)

This method is available if the endpoint was registered with a specific email address. Open the main program window of your ESET product. Press F5 to open the Advanced setup. When the password prompt appears, click Restore Password.

Enter the email address used for license registration and click Send Code.

Check your email for a verification code from ESET (valid for 7 days). Enter the verification code into the ESET product.

To remove the password: Leave the "New password" fields blank and click Verify.

To set a new password: Enter your new password and click Verify. Option 2: Using ESET PROTECT (Remote Management)

If you are a business using the cloud console, the process is secure but clunky. It works, but it requires administrator rights and patience.

Tip for ESET: Add a "One-time recovery code" field during initial setup that users can print and store in a safe. Relying solely on server connectivity is a single point of failure.
