The following items are required before initiating the update:

A "full" update clears all previous settings. You must: ECS no longer officially hosts most H61 series

  • Boot and enter BIOS (DEL key) → Load "Optimized Defaults" → Save & Exit.
  • Reconfigure: SATA mode (IDE/AHCI), boot order, fan curves, etc.
  • Use a second working LGA1155 board with a removable BIOS chip, insert your corrupted chip, and flash via AFUWIN.

  • Click START.
  • After creation, copy your BIOS file (e.g., H61H2MV.BIN) and a flasher utility:
  • The H61H2-MV has at least four different PCB revisions. Flashing the wrong BIOS will brick your board. Boot and enter BIOS (DEL key) → Load

    You need to check two things:
