If the key is valid and placed correctly, DMDE will show your registered name on the title bar or in Help → About. The free version limitations (e.g., recovering only 4000 files from one folder per session) will disappear.

A: You likely started a recovery session before installing the key. Close DMDE completely, reopen it, and start a new recovery session. The key only applies to sessions initiated after activation. If the key is valid and placed correctly,
