The Symptom: The game crashes after playing 5–10 songs, or when loading a particularly long custom song (e.g., "Through the Fire and Flames" 10-minute marathon chart). Sometimes Clone Hero crashes because of a driver
The Cause: Clone Hero loads chart data and audio into RAM. With heavy custom songs, memory usage can exceed 4GB, especially on 32-bit versions of the game.
The Fixes:
Clone Hero dislikes certain characters in file paths: #, %, &, *, :, ?, @, emojis, or Japanese/Korean characters (depending on your Windows locale).
