BS EN ISO 7519 (full title: Technical drawings — Construction drawings — General arrangement drawings and views) is an international standard that specifies the general principles for presenting general arrangement drawings in building and civil engineering works.

Similar but not identical. Australian Standard AS 1100.101 includes some ISO 7519 principles but adds local variations (e.g., brick notation). For work in Australia, use AS 1100; for UK/EU, use BS EN ISO 7519.
Ambiguous drawings cause costly rework. By standardizing how a "break line," "hidden feature," or "existing wall" is shown, the standard removes guesswork.
