The official Steam version requires constant online verification. If your internet drops, you lose progress. Furthermore, the official version lacks dedicated server files for casual LAN parties. Download the BO2OfflineSPMPZMClientV37Z.7z archive. Use 7-Zip (not WinRAR, it chokes on the dictionary size).

Critical: Copy Master Server Fix files last. Overwrite everything.
Step 3: The Config Mutation
Navigate to %AppData%\BO2Offline\. Open config.ini.

Save. Set file to Read-Only.
