The villain of the piece is a mechanical EVO called the Alpha Nanite (also known as the "Nanite King"). Created as a failsafe, Alpha gains sentience and decides to "fix" the universe by eradicating organic life. To raise the stakes, Alpha absorbs the abilities of Ben’s Ultimatrix, gaining the power to evolve machines just as Ben evolves aliens.
