At B2, flashcards of single words are useless. You need Kollokationen (word pairs) and Satzbausteine (sentence building blocks).

You should no longer be reading "Der Grüne Max" (A1). At B2, you need real literature, but shortened (adapted) for learners, or "Easy" versions of bestsellers.
