The First Listening: Focus on the "big picture." Identify the speaker’s role, the main topic, and the overall tone.
The Second Listening: Fill in specific details and verify your initial answers.
Managing the "Gap": If you miss a detail, do not panic. Move on immediately to the next question to avoid missing the subsequent information. Resources and Practice Materials
To effectively prepare for the "ABC DELF B2" curriculum specifically:
"Audio ABC" here refers to a structured, step-by-step method to master the listening comprehension (Compréhension orale) section of the DELF B2 exam. The "ABC" stands for three key phases: Analyze, Build comprehension, Check & Correct.
The ABC DELF B2 book and its audio come with extras that few people use. These are goldmines.
Before diving into the "Audio ABC" method, understand what you are up against. The DELF B2 listening section lasts approximately 30 minutes and consists of two parts:
Key challenge: You cannot rewind during the real exam. If you miss a key phrase, it’s gone. This is where the ABC DELF B2 audio exercises train you to focus, anticipate, and infer meaning.
B2 challenge: They often include interruptions, hesitation, reformulation – don’t panic. Focus on the final idea.
Goal: Activate relevant knowledge and predict content.
Steps:
Pro tip: B2 often tests reformulation – the audio will not use the same words as the question.
