Since the release of v010, the official development of Apocalust has been frozen. Void Shepherd has vanished from all social media. However, a group of modders known as the "Revelation Collective" has taken up the mantle. They are currently working on v011 Community Edition, which promises to fix the game-breaking bug in Act 3 while intentionally leaving all the psychological horror elements intact.

In previous horror games, safe rooms are sacred. In Apocalust v010, there are no safe rooms. The "Sanctuary" mechanic has been replaced with the "Hemorrhage Zone." Every five minutes, the walls bleed, the geometry glitches, and the player is teleported to a "Negative Space"—a void version of the same map where the enemy AI is hyper-aggressive.
