Marcus panicked. He tried to force a standard dialogue branch—"Jade, insult Kael." Nothing. "Kael, walk away." No response. His controls were grayed out. For the first time, the puppets had cut their strings.
He opened the mod's debug console. What he found made his skin prickle.
